Pretty Good So Far
I purchased a 2017 Taurus SHO on Oct 20. Whole transaction from test drive to driving off the lot with my new car, was relatively painless. Only issue was a missing owners manual, which they said they would find and mail to me. A few days later, I received a call from Michael Nokes (an excellent sales mgr), stating that they could not find it and ordered a new one for me. Awesome. A month later, I finally had enough of the waiting and called them again wondering why I hadn't received it. "Oh... it just came in". Riiiiight... LOL. Regardless, I am happy. The only other issue I have is that, I was told my car came with Ford Pass. It does not. The Fusion Sport I was also interested in, did. So a little (a lot) disappointed about that, but I think the salesman was new and didn't know all the features that the different models have. The Taurus (even my SHO), does NOT come with Ford Pass. Sigh.
My only other complaint is with the financing. I read on their website of rates at 4 or so percent. I was given a rate of almost 7 %. As a federal employee with 30 years service in law enforcement and nearly no mortgage, and NO other debt, I expected better. A call and email to Michelle inquiring about this, garnered no response, so I took it upon myself to call Coast Capital Savings and today signed a contract for 4.25% .......much better!
Car has so far performed excellent. As for service, too soon to tell. I have not reached the mileage required for an oil change etc.
Overall, I am happy with Key West and would recommend them to others.
Painless car purchase
Jeff Upton and the team at Key West Ford Sales were great to deal with. They were super helpful and responsive to all questions, and went the distance to make a deal. There was no pressure at any point along the way. I have bought cars before and often came away feeling somehow fleeced....NOT the case here.
New and Used Family Vehicles by Ford
What does your family look like? Maybe it’s two parents and two kids, with a third on the way. Perhaps it’s a full-time working mom and a son with a million after school activities. Or maybe it’s you and your six grandkids, who are ready for anything. Every family is unique, which means every family has unique needs for their vehicle. No matter how you define family, there’s a Ford vehicle that’s right for you and your loved ones. Explore your options below and visit us at Sound Ford in Seattle, Washington to take any of these models for a test drive.
Ford Safety Features
Has your teen recently blown out the candles on his or her 16th birthday cake? Try not to panic. With MyKey by Ford, you can set both speed and stereo volume parameters depending on who’s driving the car.
Ford Sedans for Families
If you and your family want fuel-efficiency, there’s the Ford Fusion, Ford C-MAX, Ford Taurus, and Ford Focus. These four sedans are perfect for city dwellers who are constantly on the move. For eco-friendly families, the Fusion, C-MAX, and Focus, which all come in electric plug-in and hybrid options. The Ford Taurus has been an American favorite for decades, with an Edmunds review hailing it as one of the most efficient and best-equipped family sedans there is. All of these options are also great for maneuvering around busy school parking lots.
For SUV lovers there’s the Ford Expedition, Ford Edge, Ford Escape, and Ford Explorer. The Ford Expedition has established itself as the perfect option for large families who expect comfort and capability. The Ford Edge is a great choice for families of five who expect comfort and a reasonable gas bill. The Ford Escape provides convenient cargo space for busy families. If you often find yourself shuttling your kid (and her trombone) to marching band practice, this is a smart option. If your family loves road trips, consider the Ford Explorer, which comes with spectacular tech features and superior comfort.
If the drive to school takes your kids down dirt roads, consider a Ford F-150. The F-150 received a prestigious Top Safety Pick rating from the undeniably tough critics at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The class-exclusive 360-degree camera with split-view display uses four 360-degree exterior cameras to create a bird’s-eye 7-foot radial view of the F-150. This high-tech feature helps you to navigate narrow streets, park, and maneuver in tight spaces.
What was just a commercial vehicle is quickly becoming a top choice for parents across America. If minivans just aren’t your style, consider the Ford Transit Connect Wagon. This Euro-style van comes with seating options for five or seven, cavernous cargo space, and a manageable price tag. Big family? The Ford Transit wagon comes with seating options for eight, 10, 12, and 15 people. Children are an absolute joy, but they’re also prone to spilling things. Luckily, the Transit van has a vinyl floor that’s easy to hose down in the event of a rogue juice box. Both Transits come with ample storage for family vacations, sports equipment, strollers, and groceries.
