You can't go wrong with the all-new Ford F-Series Super Duty or the 2017 Ford Escape, both of which were launched last year. The two vehicles were listed amongst 11 total new Ford vehicles that made their debut last year, as detailed in the Blue Oval's recently released 2016 annual report. The global launch of nearly a dozen new vehicles in one calendar year supports the company's progress towards becoming an auto and mobility leader.

Over 3,000 Ford F-Series trucks have provided support for HENKELS & McCOY Group since 1923, when the contractor first began buying the trucks that now account for one out of every three sales at the Blue Oval. The group is celebrating its 94th year of loyalty to Ford in 2017, marking a perennial relationship not common to many automakers. Learn more in the video below:

HENKELS & McCOY take care not to play favorites, either. The company utilizes the entire F-Series family for its needs, taking advantage of the series' aluminum bodies, hefty towing power and more. In particular, H&M's contracted fleet of F-150 trucks comes with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost® engine to efficiently move workers and equipment with ease.

2017 Ford vehicles for sale seattle washingtonIt's no secret that Ford prioritizes safety, quality and sustainability - but the automaker also ensures that convenience isn't left in the dust. Through their latest partnership with Panasonic System Communications Company of North America, the Blue Oval's making it notably simpler to return loaner vehicles.

The collaboration between Ford and Panasonic utilizes a Smart Service Kiosk, enabling customers to drop off and obtain their vehicle key or receive keys for a loaner vehicle, select services from a user-friendly menu, and even complete transactions for services. The technology is the first in its industry.

Smart Service Kiosk enables Ford customers to drop off, pick up, select and pay for their vehicle service on their time, whether it’s outside of dealership service hours or to avoid waiting in line if the service staff is busy,” Brad Brownell, the director of Ford Global Distribution Strategy, said in a Ford release.

The drop-off process shines in its efficiency. Customers need only type in standard user/vehicle information using the kiosk touchscreen (or by scanning their driver's license QR code), create a custom PIN and select from the provided list of services before leaving the key. Email confirmation includes a QR code that can be scanned for key retrieval, if necessary. When ready for pick-up, the customer scans the QR code, enters their PIN and pays any applicable service bills before receiving their key.

2017 Ford Focus RS for sale seattle washingtonWinter's chill hasn't affected sales of the Ford Focus RS, which was introduced last summer. Representatives of the Blue Oval aren't fearing any impending sales freezes; if anything, they're anticipating continued success as the seasons turn warmer.

Since its debut, the RS model has sold over 3,500 units nationwide - an average of 500 vehicles monthly. Currently, its greatest popularity is in the Golden State, with 627 vehicles sold to date in California. Following suit is Michigan, Texas, Florida and Pennsylvania with unit sales of 256, 244, 230 and 192, respectively.

And buyers aren't going with the base models - the average transaction price for a domestically sold Focus RS is more than $6,000 above the base price, indicating buyers' eagerness to splurge on the bells and whistles. One example of such is the 'RS2 package,' which over 62% of buyers to-date have selected. Also scoring high is buyers' overwhelming penchant for the color gray; with 32% of the car's sales, Stealth Gray is the most popular color in the U.S.

“Sales momentum for the Focus RS has been incredible in the U.S. for the first six months,” Jessica Bishop, Focus' marketing manager of Ford North America, said of the car's success. “Uniquely for a performance vehicle, we haven’t seen any sales decline during the winter months, but rather customer interest has picked up thanks to AWD availability.” Learn more and test-drive our selection of the Focus RS at Sound Ford in Seattle, Washington!
Along with other updates, Ford Motor Company representatives delivered news about the automaker's all-new Ford Commercial Vehicle Center program at The Work Truck Show in March. The program replaces and builds upon the foundation left by the Ford Business Preferred Network that made its 1986 debut as Main Street USA.

The modernized program encompasses over 670 dealers nationwide who are dedicated to providing commercial and fleet customers with proper service support, financing options and vehicles to fit each company's needs. A broad range of in-stock Ford commercial vehicles makes that possible, as does the proprietary diagnostic software referred to as Commercial Vehicle Tools. The program also offers test drives, specialized fleet vehicle financing advantages and more. Watch the fleet vehicles in action in the video below:

On top of that, employees of the Commercial Vehicle Center receive cross-training from the factory to ensure that all customers receive a paragon of service and support. Departments within the Commercial Vehicle Center also keep their doors open for 55 hours per week at a minimum.

2017 Ford trucks for sale seattle washingtonMarch's largest work truck event nationwide, The Work Truck Show, welcomed a bevy of truck enthusiasts and a slew of announcements from the Ford Motor Company team. As part of their public statement, the Blue Oval shared successes from 2016's truck sales.

Last year, Ford sales for medium-duty trucks exceeded that of any year since 1997 - nearly two decades earlier. Medium-duty trucks are also the most rapidly growing volume medium-duty brand, according to the announcement. Ford F-650 and F-750 truck sales also received recognition for their 54 percent year-over-year sales increase, with 2016 sales capping at 15,486. The increase in sales represents growing market share in tandem.

“Customers are embracing our new medium-duty trucks,” John Scholtes, Ford's chief program engineer of commercial vehicles, said. “They appreciate how flexible the platform is – we offer a choice of gasoline or diesel powertrain, three body styles, a wide GVWR range, and almost limitless customization options to let them spec exactly the right trucks for even the toughest jobs.” The F-650 and F-750 family, in particular, includes Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab body styles, in addition to kick-up frame Pro Loaders and a tractor model solely crafted for heavy towing.

2017 Ford trucks for sale seattle washingtonOver 200 companies within Ford's Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) program share in the automaker's dedication to amending its broad commercial vehicle family for multiple consumer applications - not limited to emergency services, school buses, motorhomes and more. The recent updates to the QVM program, revealed at The Work Truck Show, build upon its established parameters for safety and quality.

The upgraded process (eQVM), which was preceded by the achievements of the Advanced Fuel QVM program from 2010, incorporates on-site assessments at each participant's location to confirm adherence to manufacturing, customer service, assembly and other component standards - vehicles modified by a Ford QVM that comply with the guidelines hold on to their factory warranties.

Developers for the eQVM program are XL Hybrids, Motiv Power Systems and Lightning Hybrids.

• XL Hybrids: Provides a hybrid electric drive system for Ford Transit, E-350 and E-450 chassis, F-250 to F-550 Super Duty trucks, F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks and F-53/F-59 stripped chassis; a plug-in hybrid upfit for the F-150 pickup is also available.

• Lightning Hybrids: Available to the Ford E-350 and E-350 chassis, F-350 to F-550 Super Duty trucks, F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks and F-59 chassis is a non-electric hydraulic hybrid energy recovery system.Learn more at Sound Ford in Seattle, Washington.

2017 Ford Transit vans for sale seattle washingtonFord's newly expanded Advanced Fuel Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) program encompasses the development and installation of various hybrid powertrains, according to a recent release. The powertrains will benefit Ford trucks and vans, in particular. The program was revealed at The Work Truck Show recently to the approval of fleet and commercial customers, whose electrified and hydraulic hybrid work trucks often necessitate certain conditions.

As a leader in electrification, the Blue Oval also recently announced its $4.5 billion investment in 13 electrified vehicles within the next five years - including a high-volume autonomous vehicle, a Transit Custom plug-in hybrid, a hybrid F-150 and more.

“Ford supports electrification for a variety of vehicle types,” Richard Cupka Jr., Ford's sustainability and QVM program manager, said in the same release. “The eQVM program extends that support to the vocational truck industry where customers need relatively small numbers of specialized vehicles – there is no one-size-fits-all work truck.”

With the new eQVM program, three developers are taking the spotlight: XL Hybrids, Motiv Power Systems and Lightning Hybrids. All three companies provide electrification or hydraulic solutions for a variety of Ford vehicles that appeal to commercial and fleet customers, such as the F-150, Transit and E-Series vans and chassis, and F-53/F-59 stripped chassis.

2018 Ford Transit for sale seattle washingtonThe Work Truck Show in March - the largest in the nation - was highlighted by Ford's announcement of updates to its broad commercial vehicle lineup, delighting attendees who are familiar with the high caliber of the Blue Oval's Transit vehicles.

At a press conference on March 14, Ford also informed media of the 2018 Transit van family updates and also debuted the expanded Advanced Fuel Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) program.

“Ford is deeply committed to the work truck market,” John Ruppert, Ford's general manager of commercial vehicle sales and marketing, said. “We are the only OEM to offer our vocational customers vehicles in every segment from Classes 1-7, and have sold more commercial vehicles every year for three decades than any other manufacturer.”

Only a couple of years ago, Ford Transit climbed to the top of the rankings and became the nation's best-selling commercial van; in 2016, it became the best-selling van overall, surpassing minivans.

One new perk of the Transit relates to its rearview camera, which is standard on the van. Newer models will display it above the rear doors on medium- and high-roof models, although it'll flank the license plate on low-roof models. Locking box gloves, all-new rear door exit handles and rear LED cargo lamp switches will also become standard.

Passing along instructions and standards for excellence to one person is difficult enough; sharing them with multiple companies is another. In alignment with its mission to recognize and spread sustainability practices, Ford is offering a toolkit as part of its Partnership for A Cleaner Environment (PACE) program for participating suppliers. The toolkit includes over 350 leading practices contained within categories for energy, water, air emissions and waste. Learn more about Ford's initiatives in the video below:

The aforementioned practices would take too long to list in their entirety, but include initiatives that range in size - like reducing compressed air usage in manufacturing, or swapping LED lightbulbs for incandescent ones. One notable leading practice, dubbed Energy Treasure Hunts, show suppliers how to tap experts in their own facilities as invaluable resources, resulting in a greater number of identified opportunities for sustainability. The Blue Oval encourages suppliers to share their findings and support the program's cycle of sharing.

“We are serious about protecting lives and preserving the planet, and sharing best practices with Ford helps further that mission to sustain the environment globally,” Jim Laney, DENSO's senior manager of Safety, Health and Environment in North America, said of his company's participation in the PACE program.

Of course, since Ford is a pioneer amongst automakers for sustainability practices, PACE is only one cog in the chain. Ford's overall strategy also encompasses human rights initiatives, working conditions and more. Learn more at Sound Ford in Seattle, Washington today!
