The 2018 Ford Focus Electric sports a 33.5 kWh battery pack and an EPA-estimated range of 115 miles, making it a viable option for eco-friendly drivers wishing to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. And it's a colorful option as well - in alignment with Pantone's 2017 Color of the Year, Greenery, the Blue Oval recently announced that the all-new Focus Electric will be available in Outrageous Green Metallic as a tinted color option.
Ford's design team tapped into inspiration from a variety of influences to conjure up not only the newest vehicle color, but every color offering on the automaker's pallet.
“Designers are encouraged to experience a feeling, bring it to the team, then collectively brainstorm ways to bring it to life through a paint color or material for Ford vehicles,” Barb Whalen, Ford's color and materials design manager, said. “Outrageous Green Metallic is a unique shade, symbolizing modern renewal and a reconnection with nature, then finished with a special tinted clear coat to give the color depth and vibrancy.”
