With high expectations follows all too crushing realities - with every automotive brand wringing their hands in despair, knowing that potential profits will never be fully realized. Sales aren't quite strong enough, and no quarterly report impresses. The year-to-year margin slips further with each passing day.
The Ford F-Series shatters this tradition - delivering a staggering growth of 15% in 2017.
According to Market Realist, the F-Series has left all records in the dust. This collection of pick-ups - which includes the F-150, F-250, and F-350 - secured 77,007 unit sales in August alone. This marks a sharp rise from 2016 (65,456 units) and showcases Ford’s enduring legacy across North America, with drivers seeking out best-in-class trailering.
That quest has helped to launch Ford past the competition. Market Realist explains that the F-Series pushed the brand’s overall August total to 96,619 units - more than Toyota, Jeep, or Chevrolet. Consumers crave V8 performance and this had led to a surge of dealer sales. Demand has never been higher and overall volume has increased 10% from 2016. This defies all current automotive trends (which have seen top-tier companies plummet on the Wall Street charts).
