Power is coming to Seattle - with Ford unveiling its 2019 Mustang Bullitt. Pony-fans will soon find themselves greeted by pure V8 performance, with this platform poised for a late fall debut.
Are you excited? The Sound Ford team certainly is - with our fingers crossed and our dealer doors open.
According to the NY Daily News, the 2019 Bullitt has just been revealed to Detroit Auto Show audiences - and it’s gearing up for a long cross-country trek. Ford will soon unleash this beast on the U.S. market, delivering premium pony power with every mile. Anchoring the platform will be a 5.0L V8, capable of generating 475 HP and 420 lb.-ft of torque. An open induction system will increase engine capability, circulating air at greater speeds to improve both revs and fuel distribution; while control module calibration will maximize overall performance output, sport-tuning the entire chassis. Summer track tires will allow the car to nimbly corner, and a Torsen limited slip differential will provide balanced handling (automatically engaging when extra traction is needed).
The 2019 Mustang Bullitt is masterfully designed - with Ford emphasizing precision with every line. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that a manual gearbox will be offered (rather than the anticipated SelectShift automatic). This will enable drivers to better control their experiences, with five-speed gear ratios adapting to each mile.
