As the Chicago Sun Times explains, the 2018 Expedition Limited affords drivers greater security on the road. Its safety suite is bolstered by Lane Keeping Assistance - an intuitive program that maintains optimal positioning when traveling over 40 MPH. Body-mounted sensors scan both highway markers and vehicle pitch, assessing each through micro-second assessments. If the platform begins to stray, this system will automatically launch a dual-response strategy:

Notifications: audio and visual cues will be released, alerting the driver to the issue. These will be streamed via the eight-inch SYNC 3 console and will feature gridline instructions of how to proceed in the most effective manner.

Steering Adjustments: the column will be gently engaged, maneuvering the Expedition back toward its proper alignment. This promotes balanced handling and lessens the chance of a collision.
