Pretty Good So Far
I purchased a 2017 Taurus SHO on Oct 20. Whole transaction from test drive to driving off the lot with my new car, was relatively painless. Only issue was a missing owners manual, which they said they would find and mail to me. A few days later, I received a call from Michael Nokes (an excellent sales mgr), stating that they could not find it and ordered a new one for me. Awesome. A month later, I finally had enough of the waiting and called them again wondering why I hadn't received it. "Oh... it just came in". Riiiiight... LOL. Regardless, I am happy. The only other issue I have is that, I was told my car came with Ford Pass. It does not. The Fusion Sport I was also interested in, did. So a little (a lot) disappointed about that, but I think the salesman was new and didn't know all the features that the different models have. The Taurus (even my SHO), does NOT come with Ford Pass. Sigh.
My only other complaint is with the financing. I read on their website of rates at 4 or so percent. I was given a rate of almost 7 %. As a federal employee with 30 years service in law enforcement and nearly no mortgage, and NO other debt, I expected better. A call and email to Michelle inquiring about this, garnered no response, so I took it upon myself to call Coast Capital Savings and today signed a contract for 4.25% .......much better!
Car has so far performed excellent. As for service, too soon to tell. I have not reached the mileage required for an oil change etc.
Overall, I am happy with Key West and would recommend them to others.
Painless car purchase
Jeff Upton and the team at Key West Ford Sales were great to deal with. They were super helpful and responsive to all questions, and went the distance to make a deal. There was no pressure at any point along the way. I have bought cars before and often came away feeling somehow fleeced....NOT the case here.

Rather than toe the line and, engineers and designers at Ford Motor Company aren't afraid to tow-tally break boundaries and maximize potential. With the 2017 F-150, one particular improvement on the acclaimed truck is its towing capacity, which makes gains as the result of the new 3.5L, V-6 EcoBoost engine and the 10-speed transmission that comes along with it - its recorded towing capacity is a jaw-dropping 5,000 to 10,400 pounds.
With 365 horsepower at its beck and call, engineers at Ford say that the all-new engine was specifically modeled to haul heavy loads and tow trailers that pack on the pounds. Despite the greater weight capacity, the engine also has improved low-end and peak engine performance. The new 10-speed automatic transmission made its initial debut with the new high-performance Raptor pickup; however, the updated transmission feature is only available with the new EcoBoost V6. Watch the F-150 take the road in the video below:
“The Ford truck team lives to serve our hardworking truck customers,” Raj Nair, Ford's executive vice president of product development and chief technical officer, said. “The powertrain is the heart of every F-150, and together our all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 10-speed transmission will give our customers better power, efficiency and confidence.”
The better power, efficiency and confidence Nair cites translates to superior towing, Jason Cannon writes for EquipmentWorld.com.
"Three overdrive gears and a wider ratio span enable lower-numerical rear-axle ratios to help improve fuel efficiency at highwayspeeds, while maintaining best-in-class towing," he reports. "The 10-speed transmission uses advanced materials and alloys—and zero cast iron, a first for a Ford transmission—to save weight."
Further adding to the towing power is the engine's anti-idle feature Auto Start-Stop, which is provided as a standard for the F-150. It preserves fuel, ultimately helping to reduce CO2 emissions as a result of lower idle times, and is a perk especially pertinent to truck owners. Except when towing or infour-wheel-drive mode, the Auto Start-Stop intuitively knows when to shut off the engine when the vehicle's at a stop.
