Ford Transit Hybrid TaxiOver the next five years, Ford Motor Company is sure to generate a lot of buzz with its rollout of 13 all-new electrified vehicles across the globe. Recently, the Blue Oval released details on seven of the 13 vehicles, which include hybrid versions of the classic F-150 pickup and beloved Mustang in the U.S. Ford enthusiasts outside of the States will also feel the love, since there are plans to introduce a plug-in hybrid Transit Custom in Europe and all-electric SUV (with an anticipated range of at least 300 miles) for customers worldwide.

The vision to release the assortment of innovative vehicles is part of Ford's encompassing $4.5 billion investment in electrified vehicles by the year 2020. The automaker hopes to provide customers with improved fuel efficiency, power and capability that spans the range of Ford's vehicle lineup, in addition to becoming both an auto and a mobility company that paves the way for electrified and autonomous vehicles and pioneering mobility solutions.

Ford's plan for its electric vehicles (EV) plays up its strengths and builds upon what's already successful - high-volume commercial vehicles, trucks, SUVs and performance vehicles that are most popular with buyers,

The seven global electrified vehicles buyers can now anticipate include:

• An all-new small, fully electric SUV
• An autonomous, high-volume hybrid vehicle
• The best-selling F-150 pickup, hybrid-style
• The revered Mustang in a hybrid form
• A Transit Custom plug-in hybrid
• A pair of hybrid police vehicles

Ford also revealed that its global utility lineup will be the automaker's first hybrids powered by EcoBoost®. The change will add to the overall improved performance and fuel economy of the vehicles.
