Ford is in the process of electrifying the F-series for 2020, but if you wanted to get one sooner XL has announced that it’ll be adding the plug-in hybrid F-250 to its lineup in the near future. The vehicle will be equipped with a driveshaft-mounted motor and lithium-ion battery pack which can be charged externally through a J1772. It’ll be introduced at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis from March 5th to 8th.

First of all, it produces immense power thanks to the boisterous 6.2 L V8 engine which cranks out 385 hp at 5,750 revs per minutes and a whopping 430 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3,800 rpm. The High Capacity Trailer Tow Package comes standard and benefits the overall hauling capabilities to an incredible 17,600 pounds while it also gets a maximum payload of 3130 lbs.
