One half of you says, “I want to live an environmentally conscious lifestyle.” The other half says, “I want to put the pedal to the metal and drive across the country...twice.” Your dueling halves are in luck. With a used 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid, you can easily do both of those things and save money at the same time.
The 2013 Fusion Hybrid gets a mindblowing EPA-rated fuel-efficiency of 47 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway, giving it a combined rating of - you guessed it - 47 mpg. This hybrid gets its pep from a 2.0-liter, 141-horsepower Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder and a 118-horsepower electric motor, with a net 188 ponies. According to Car and Driver, the Fusion is delightfully responsive when driving around town, thanks to its instantaneous 117 pound-feet of torque.
Tech features include “Smartgauge with EcoGuide”, a 4.3-inch LCD screen which keeps drivers informed on the car’s energy and gas usage. A larger touch screen comes with SYNC and MyFord Touch to keep you and your passengers safely connected to the outside world. The systems also feature navigation and voice commands.
The interior of the car is spacious and comfy, for both drivers and rear passengers. Although the Fusion comes with a large battery in its trunk, the rear seats can fold completely flat for those days when you have a bit of extra cargo. Thanks to Ford’s high-tech sound insulation, everyone enjoys a nearly silent ride and is blissfully unaware of when the Fusion changes between power sources.
